One thing I think we can all agree on is the love for the Adidas Spezial range. For the past several years Gary Aspden and the rest of the guys behind Spezial have brought back some of the all time greats as well as designed many future classics. For spring summer they have brought out a wide range of shoes and apparel that have already gone down a storm with the initial release of the Garwen and the Forest Gate tracksuit.

In terms of apparel there has been a constant in quality and design and this season is no different with lots of vibrant and eye catching garments available. The Haslignden II jacket is a personal favourite mixing ideas from the Adidas Archive but adding a modern twist to cater for today’s trends. Using a durable Codura fabric, this jacket is the business. So much so the likes of Ian Brown and Liam Gallagher have already got their hands on it. My favourite piece of apparel from this collection, has to be the Two Elevens Shirt it is just bang on. Quintessential Adidas designs all over this football shirt, and taking inspiration from a vintage FC Nantes shirt, this amongst other is a  definite purchase for myself.

As for the footwear, you know before I’ve started they’ve knocked it out the park. They do it every single year. Picking one or two pairs to focus on is difficult as they’re all beauties. But for me my favourites have to be the Atlanta and the Wensley. The Atlanta for me is a great runner and with being a Sunderland fan, red and white always go well together. Another addition to this shoe is the attention to detail and how similar it is to the original, the feel and the quality used for the suede is perfect, A near 1:1 of the 80s original. Now onto the wensley, at first glance just seems like another Adidas leisure shoe, but its when you dig deeper it shows what its true side is and how much of a classic it really is for example the wensley originally was one of the first leisure shoes Adidas ever produced. Another focal point is the originality is kept with the shoe, no padding in the tongue and the exclusion of the 3 stripes on the inside make it just that little bit extra. But the one part of this shoe that sucked me in the most was that it was originally an Adidas Russia shoe, which was very little known around the world.

You know by now, you need to be on the ball by midnight for this stuff; it’s going to go quickly. Available at your usual Spezial stockists, as well as Adidas, all links below!
