A brand that needs no introduction, Stone Island have produced some corkers recently from the Hand Corrosion Set to their 1 of 100 Prototype Research Series, and they continue to be on top form going into spring summer 17.

With it fast approaching we thought it would be perfect time to take a look at one of their divisions ‘Marina’ which is in their own words “Reinterpret heritage Stone Island stripes with a modern take’. Applying new materials and techniques to some original marina designs, and using some very summery colours will have you looking the part all year round never mind just the summer.

Some of my favourite pieces are the polos and tees below. This harks back to the original Marina logo, and used quite well as the focal point of both garments. As well knowing the quality you’ll be getting from Stone Island these tops are going to last you a while. As well they have used the extremely popular corrosion print and added it to a long sleeve t-shirt and a zip up hoodie which I can expect to be a fan favourite when the temperature starts to pick up a bit.

Although the collection is designed for summer, those at Stone Island know the weather won’t always be bright and sunny, especially in the U.K. But don’t worry they have you covered, featuring the tank shield- multi layer fusion technology jacket using Matte Polyester Tela providing for improved waterproofness and breathability compared to normal techniques. As well, if you hadn’t guessed already marina, does have marine and seaside connections. Stone Island have teamed up with Ortlieb to create a set of dry bags, to keep all your belongings dry, if that’s on a boat or just because its raining. You’ll still look the business!
