Its that time of year again, leaves are falling off the trees and the nights are longer and darker. Winter is here and personally I love it, as it means one thing. Winter coats are back and I couldn’t be happier.

This winter is looking to be one of the coldest to date and what better to battle the cold with a brand new coat, and this season has provided some real gems. First off Peggs & Son based out Brighton has been providing us with some of the best clothes around for years, and one of my favourites this season has to be the Insulated Deer Hunter by Holubar. This is bound to keep you warm on those cold winter mornings and maintain your cool look in the process, with a bright orange colour way. You can find this along with a lot more over on their website now.

Second up comes Superdenim, another favourite here at GTE, bringing you a wide selection of goods from Japans Nanamica to England’s own Trickers. As well as a 40-year tested denim alteration specialist. However my pick for this winter comes from Woolrich, with none other than the Arctic Parka a classic piece from the American brand. Lined with 80% duck down and finished with a water repellent Teflon. This is the only winter coat you would ever need. The link for their website featured below.

Finally we get to Kafka clothing, based out of Aberdeen providing a wide selection of globally sourced menswear. Kafka has a wide variety of brands especially those that aren’t as well known or as widely stocked in the UK. However this winter my selection is from one of my favourite brands Ten C, and with living in Manchester this is ideal for the winter, if not all year round. The Deck Parka will keep the rain and wind out all year long, and like all Ten C products will age with you and give you that special patina. Check them out in the link below.
