This time we’re doing huge trainer fan, Jenifer Spence, @youngrecklesshearts, to give us her favourite trainers.
Nike Air Max Safari Pack ’09
One of my favourite colourways in the pack. I have literally been searching for these in my size for years, managed to grab these for a sensible price and gave them a quick spruce up with Jason Markk sneaker cleaner and they’re as good as new. Just praying for the sunshine to come back out so I can wear them! They are a little fragile with them not being stored to the best, but it’s nice to have a pair in the older Air Max 1 shape.
Nike Stefan Janoski
One of my favourite ever staple shoes, sadly Nike don’t make them like they used to! I picked these up after weeks of debating over them in 2011 and I am so glad! Tiffany mint is one of my favourite design features of the Nike SB range and the quality on these is on point. The suede is super lush (again something Nike don’t have on current releases) and the fit is perfect. I have these boxed away for most of the year as it rains a lot up north, but with the sun coming back its time to bust them out!
Asics X Hanon Gel Lyte III ‘Wildcat’
They are incredible! Paying homage to the Scottish Wildcats Running Club, along with the animal that is native to the Scottish Highlands – the Gel Lyte III is a bold statement release.
The Gel Lyte III Wildcat release is up there at the top of most Asics collectors lists. With a super luxe suede upper and perforated detailing, it’s unlike any other release I have – the quality is on point! 3m detailing runs through the branding, with the colour block panelling to compliment the native cat.
One of my favourite design options for Asics is colourblocking, it gives the shoe a bold look along with being a timeless trend. The burgundy compliments the burnt mustard upper perfectly, whilst the Asics branding is tonal so gives the style an understated look. The hanon detailing to the ankle wrap is in matt black, making sure to stand out.
A massive thanks to Jen for this, head over to www.youngrecklesshearts.com and check it out.
